1Trans Iberian Rally is run in a North to South direction, so the tour starts as soon as you get off the ferry and terminates at Almeria. Our support vehicle and GS mounted tour guide will be at the ferry terminal to meet you on your arrival, from there we will be on hand to assist you throughout the tour until the it reaches it’s completion and you head home. Your baggage will be transported by our fully equipped support vehicle between each hotel, ready for your arrival each evening. Each evening we meet and go through the days collective photos and recount the days highs and lows over a great meal and a bottle of local wine, all of which is included in the tour price. The return journey to the ferry can then be carried out at whatever pace you prefer, the option to stay by the coast for a few days R&R and combine with some excellent road riding or try a track day at the race circuits of Almeria or Guadix can be arranged. If you still want more why not call in on your way back and try a full day offroad using our bikes on the “Cazorla valley Tour”. We are happy to advise on activities in the Andalucía region or to assist or arrange your return itinerary for you; if time is tight, the dash for the ferry can be accomplished in a single day. We can ride back to ferry with you or you can leave your bike with us and fly home and we will freight your bike back to the UK, contact us with your preference.

Day 1 Santander to Aranda de Duero (200 Km)
We meet at a café close to the ferry terminal where we load the support vehicle with your luggage, carry out an introduction and briefing over a coffee. Then we head off towards the Picos de Europa and our first lunch stop at Potes, there’s plenty of stops en-route to capture the stunning scenery on camera. After lunch we stick mainly to the scenic back roads down to our first overnight stop at Aranda de Duero
Day 3 Madrid to Ciudad Real (270 Km)
Today is a real mix of on and offroad riding as we cross the region of Castilla-la Mancha, with stops at Toledo, Tembleque, Consuegra, Calatrava before our overnight stop at Ciudad Real, en-route we will see stunning architecture in the towns plus Don Quixote type windmills and castles when in the campo.
Day 5 Quesada to Granada (150 Km)
Leaving the hotel we take a series of trails that wind their way through the valley of olive groves before giving way to open countryside of almost a lunar appearance. A climb on wide trails that are graded to piste standard that are fringed by pines through high and scenic countryside gives us the chance to do some fast offroading towards the Alhambra, undoubtedly Spain’s most famous landmark.
  Itinerary
The “Trans Iberian Rally” is 6 days riding 6 nights accommodation (more if a rest or activity days are booked) Covered in the tour price is; full board accommodation, guide and support vehicle. You will be responsible for drinks, (although drink with meal is included), and personal medical insurance. There are eight seats in our support vehicle for riding partners (or when we cover off-road sections), these can be booked on a first come basis, contact us for further details.
Day 2 Aranda de Duero to Madrid (350 Km)
A lot of miles to cover today and much to see so a slightly earlier start this morning. A few warm up miles on the road before we take to the trail and head down to Segovia for lunch, a photo of the famous aqueduct is a must while we’re there and it’s an ideal spot to walk off a large lunch. An easier session this afternoon while we head towards Madrid so as to keep some energy in hand for any sight seeing later.
Day 4 Ciudad Real to Quesada (350 Km)
Today is a long day in the saddle; in the morning we hit the trails heading towards the famous wine producing region of Valdepenas, for those who in the support vehicle they can take advantage of visiting a bodega for a wine tasting session. While the bikers press on and say goodbye to Castilla-la Mancha and cross into the Northern tip of Andalucía the scenery undergoes some dramatic changes, all of which we view firsthand from the miradors on today’s route.
By the days end we overnight in the Jaen region one of the most prodigious olive producing areas in Spain, our chosen hotel is in the village of Quesada nestled in the foothills of the mountains. While we’re close to the Touratrail HQ there is the option to have a rest day or two here if pre-booked, other activities can also be pursued, a day out on the Husky's can also be arranged (see Cazorla Tours page).
Day 6 Granada to Almeria (180 Km)
Our last riding day together starts by taking the mountain road towards the ski resort, from there we snake our way through the mountain passes towards Almeria. The terrain and vistas noticeably change as we progress towards the city, this area is classified as Europe’s only desert, we pass by the area that was used in the production of the spaghetti westerns made famous by Clint Eastwood. When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening our equipment has been delivered by the support crew, so it’s a quick shower before a final night on the town, only this time over indulgence can be tolerated as there’s no riding the following day!
